FCA impacted and changed the course of my life when I was 15 years old.  Attending 7 different high schools, I experienced a lot as an impressionable young man.  I did not have a church home, but I received a team bible at a FCA football camp 17 years ago and it is still the same bible I use today.  I have served my country well for 8 years active duty in the United States Air Force and I currently serve in the Air Force Reserves at MacDill.  God created me with a servant’s heart and called me into the ministry that was so formative for me in my life.   My wife Lindsey and two amazing children Levi and Gwyn have supported my calling and are thrilled to be living in Tampa! As a family we faced extreme adversity when Hurricane Mathews drove us out of our North Carolina home.  However, God had much bigger plans for us here in Tampa Bay.  I am so excited to be a part of the team here in Hillsborough County and being a part of such an important organization.  I am gratefully looking forward to what God has in store next.

I am a Tampa native who competed in synchronized swimming for 12 years and am currently coaching the sport at the New Tampa YMCA. I have been involved in dance and physical fitness since I was young. I grew up knowing Christ's love and learning the Bible as truth. My very personal relationship and discovery of my deep need for Christ in my daily walk began at FCA leadership camp in St. Simon's when I was in high school.
I am very excited about being a member of the FCA Tampa Bay staff and look forward to sharing Christ with female coaches and students that are hungry for the Truth, and so in need of a Savior. I believes FCA gives me a great opportunity to impact the lives of kids who may never hear the Gospel otherwise.

I was born and raised in Mt. Holly N.J. where I was inducted into the Rancocas Valley Regional High School Hall Of Fame (baseball, basketball, football) in 2006.  I proceeded to play baseball at the University of Delaware, and coached youth sports for 13 years.
I have 2 sons, David Jr. (29), and Adam (24) a graduate at USF.  I am a licensed Pastor, and have worked as a Chaplain at Florida hospital, a mentor for Abe Brown Prison Ministries, and a teacher for the Salvation Army Mens Rehab program.  "It was a 'strong calling' to reach out to our youth with the 'good news' of Jesus Christ, that led me to contact the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. I have experienced that youth today are extremely hungry and thirsty for hope, and that FCA is geared to not only provide the hope that is in the Gospel of Christ to them, but also their coaches, their parents, and the entire school campus and community."
"I am very excited and proud to be a member of an organization that is Christ centered and has the far reaching capability of impacting the world in such an amazing and wonderful way."
"Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13

First, let me thank you for exploring this FCA webpage and for supporting our ministry. I welcome the opportunity to speak with you personally to share my testimony and the events that led me to this wonderful ministry. My journey has been filled with amazing (and unexpected) twists and turns for which I am most thankful.

My wife and family have called Tampa home since 2000. Prior to that, I did my college studies at a Division 1 school in North Carolina. While I was there, I attempted to ‘walk on’ one of the varsity sports teams. In the most polite manner, the coaching staff suggested that I “Enjoy intramurals.” It was great advice - and I’ve been enjoying recreational sports ever since.

I grew up in the Southtowns of Buffalo NY. I learned to play sports from my older brother. Incidentally, he also taught me how to run fast – most times as he was chasing me around the yard over a disagreement of some sort. I played three varsity sports in high school and managed a couple more throughout the summer. It’s still hard to believe my parents never missed a single one of my games.

I look forward to continuing to share my story with you… and to hearing your story, and what led you to this page. My direct contact information is found here.

I grew up in Richmond, Virginia. My Dad was my coach many times, so sports, championships, and athletic accomplishments have always been part of my life. The biggest accomplishment in my life was when I was seven and I accepted Christ into my life. That day my life changed forever. Since that day God has been preparing me for this very moment in my life. From how I grew up, what I experienced at college, and to the 6.5 years of ministry here in Tampa. While in seminary God put a burden in my heart to reach the public schools. I was highly involved in a public-school ministry before I even graduated college. In 2011 God gave Hannah and I a burden for the youth of Tampa. When we realized that Hillsborough county is the second largest school district in the state of FL we were sure that this was the place God would have us, and we accepted a position as youth ministers at a local church. Six and a half years and four children later God has connected us, equipped us, and called us to work with FCA. My goal is to establish a gospel sharing FCA club in every school, public and private. I want to challenge you to pray for us as we strive to reach this goal and to prayerfully consider financial supporting us on a monthly basis so we can continue to reach schools with the Gospel.
