Volunteers from St. Leo Women’s Softball team helped at an information table.</p>
<p>Jennie Finch, ex Olympic softball player, pitches to one of our countries wounded warriors. God has blessed our country with great medical facilities to be able to help these brave soldiers pursue an active life. </p>
<p>Kelly Knouse prepares to present the Gospel. He gave an excellent message and there were decisions made for Christ. </p>]]></description><guid>http://www.fcatampabay.org/fca-and-wounded-warriors</guid></item><item><title>2011 Outback Bowl Breakfast</title><link>http://www.fcatampabay.org/2011-outback-bowl-breakfast</link><pubDate>Mon, 16 Jan 2012 06:00:00 GMT</pubDate><dc:creator>Erin Witt</dc:creator><description><![CDATA[<p>“The best one ever” is a quote from a long time supporter who said he had attended 25 of the 26 previous FCA bowl breakfasts in Tampa. That is lofty, but apparently accurate praise based on the comments made by numerous other people in the large crowd that attended the recent FCA Outback Bowl Breakfast. Paul Porter, the voice of the Lightning and the Magic, introduced Michigan State and Georgia head coaches, Mark Dantonio and Mark Richt who both did a wonderful job of sharing how their faith in Christ influences their coaching. The coaches introduced a player from each of their teams that also shared their powerful testimonies.</p>
<p>The keynote speaker for the event was former Seminole and Dolphin running back Sammie Smith who shared how his personal relationship with Jesus gave him the strength to overcome his time in prison on drug related charges. The morning was wrapped up by Ken Whitten, the pastor of Idlewild Baptist Church and a FCA National Board Member, who challenged everyone in attendance to make Jesus the Lord of their lives. Many are still coming to know Christ as their savior.&nbsp; FCA Hillsborough Director shared before a play off game in the 6 on 6 home school league in Plant City.</p>
<p>At Steinbrenner High School, Jared &amp; Josie Thomas led students in praise and worship music.&nbsp; Steve Young shares his testimony before the Sunlake’s Varsity and JV basketball team. </p>
